Timber and hand painted banners

This was a temporary intervention on the estate working with the kids.

This was a direct manifestation from the children as an activity they would like to see happen. There was a large area of waste ground near the estate where the children would try to construct their grand ideas.  These camps would only exist for a few days before being destroyed by anonymous vandals or by the creators themselves, keen to reuse the materials in evermore-ambitious endeavours.

Constructing our camp on the housing estate it remained for the weekend.  We couldn’t quite manage the vision of the multi-storey fortress sketched out by the children, but together we created something of equal interest.
